Melt Downs, Screams and More...

WOW....whew, we are exhausted around here. Our 2 year old has really brought out the worst in me the last 2 days. I am really about to pull my hair out!!! I don't know what to do with her and I can't keep my cool long enough to teach my kids peacefully. I keep thinking about a book I once started reading called "Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit". It is a WONDERFUL book, but only a reminder to me of what I will never be. :( I know that the Lord is trying to teach me something, but WHAT???? Enough already!!?? Ha Ha Ha A friend of mine once told her husband that she and the Lord had a different understanding of what she could handle. I like that quote and I agree!! I feel so overwhelmed!! My homeschool is not getting off to the best start, my toddler is unruley, my son screams in nursery at church to the point of throwing up, and he still gets me up 2-3 times a night!!! When will the Madness End??? Is there Light at the end of this dark tunnel?? CALGON!! TAKE ME AWAY!!!

((Cyberhugs)) I so feel your pain. Out of curiosity, are you assigning times for the other girls to be with E so that she is occupied? That might help. They can even have "school" with her so she feels like she has her learning time too. I don't try to do much work with them until I have my two littles down in the afternoon. However, the closer the baby comes to walking, the harder it is getting with her to keep her out of everything. She also screams when she is away from me. Sometimes if I'm just out of the room, sometimes if I'm simply not the one holding her. She screams most of the time in the nursery, which is embarrassing because I am the nursery coordinator. I will pray that you will be able to work something out that will allow you to get your school back in order. Wish we lived closer because then we could switch kids twice a week. Blessings.

Girl, I don't really know what to say - accept, hang in there! When reading this, all I could think of is that song, "Momma said there'd be days like this, there'd be days like this momma said". And it made me laugh, only because it is also somebody else's experience and not just mine. Keep on, keep'n on! Hebrews 12:1-2

Funny J Shand said that, but I actually start singing that song out loud when I'm getting to my breaking point, someone else is screaming, and another glass of milk ends up on the floor! It actually relieves the tension that gets all bound up in my shoulders (and unfortunately, usually comes out of my mouth in a yell).

I just found you through Jennifer (School 4 Princesses) and had to let you know that you are NOT alone! What you've posted here could easily be a typical day at my house.

Keep on in UNceasing prayer, friend! I have 2 screamers (Reagan and Adam) and God has let me know that He is using them to change my life...

Blessings,
Andrea
